We are very proud to be a part of a special reciprocal study tour taking place at the moment involving one school from Japan and another from Australia.

You may remember that last September students from Viewbank College in Melbourne were hosted by their sister school, Narita Kokusai High School in Japan (see news below). Our Aussie students spent 17 days as part of a short study tour hosted by Japanese families and attending regular Japanese classes. The Viewbank students were shown all of the local sights by their Japanese buddies and now it is time for them to repay the favour!

Narita Kokusai High students arrived on Sunday the 8th of March to the warmest of welcomes from their Viewbank host families and friends. While the Narita Kokusai High School students are staying in Australia they will participate in specialist English lessons held at Viewbank College and attend regular classes during integrated sessions with their school buddies. Narita Kokusai students will also participate in excursions that highlight our unique Australian culture, lifestyle and wildlife.

For information about how you or your school can become involed in a study tour e-mail me directly at jeanelle@koo-eeexperience.com.au  and take a look and share the experiences of the Narita Kokusai High School students and the Viewbank College students in our photo gallery.

Live your dreams,

Jeanelle :)

No doom and gloom for Host Families

The economic news is not all bad for International Students and their host families here in Australia. In a report released today by the AEI (Australian Education International), there have been 494, 507 enrolments by full-fee paying international students on a student Visa since September 2007. This is a 19.9% increase from last year.

Increasingly Australia is attracting more students from India, China, Nepal, Vietnam, and Brazil than ever before.

In my line of work I speak regularily with International Enrolment officers working within Australian schools, these results have been felt quite strongly just recently after the stockmarket crash.

Why?

It's because of our stable economy, the safe and relaxed atmosphere in which we live as well as the quality of the educational facilities and the standard of tuition on offer.

Thinking about hosting an international student? For more information contact me directly...

Kind regards,

Jeanelle :)

Congratulations to Viewbank College Melbourne!

In September of this year I was fortunate enough to accompany a fantastic group of students from Viewbank College in Melbourne to Narita Kokusai Japan. The joy of international living was shared by all. Many life long friendships were forged during the 2 week stay. Good news though, it looks like Viewbank can repay the hospitality they experienced to Narita Kokusai in March 2009.
